Bob has extensive experience in automotive electronics and will talk to us about some of the tricks and traps for delivering a reliable DC supply to your mobile radio.

1:30pm MOUNTING MOBILE ANTENNAS – Ian Jackson VK3BUF

An interactive session about mounting mobile antennas on cars, where to place them and discuss advantages and disadvantages of various mobile antenna types

3:00pm INTRO TO CONTESTING – Chris Chapman VK3QB

An Introduction to Contesting.  Ever wanted to know what makes this aspect of the hobby great?  Want to know how to get started?

3:30pm PORTABLE OPS – John VK3BSE

John will be telling us about some of the hardware he uses when setting up a portable station.

Sunday

10:30am A 20M VERTICAL – Roy Seabridge VK3GB

Roy uses a vertical on 20 metres with an elevated ground plane system for excellent performance.  He will set up and demonstrate this antenna.  (approx 30 min)

11:30am INTRO TO MORSE CODE – Chris Chapman VK3QB

This session is a brief tutorial to help amateurs to get started with Morse Code operating.  (approx 25 min)

1:00pm      Raffle draw

1:10pm MARITIME OPS – Paul Anslow VK2APA

Paul is going to talk about some of the difficulties to be               overcome for maritime operation.  Water is a harsh environment for communications.

2:00pm PORTABLE FREE STANDING MAST – Graeme Brown VK3BXG

Graeme will be demonstrating his portable free-standing mast assembly for field operations.
